Weekend.

Last night, Mike and I had a fantastic evening out on the town with friends.  We had a delicious Southern dinner at Big Jones in Andersonville, which I HIGHLY recommend.  From the fried green tomatoes to the BBQ chicken to the red velvet cake, everything was created "Big Jones Style".  That is the greatest catch-phrase, especially if you know someone with the last name Jones, which I happen to do:)  There's nothing like good food, good wine, and great friends.

After dinner, we saw Chicago's longest running show, "Too Much Light Makes the Baby Go Blind".  How can I describe the experience?  Your "ticket" into the theater is a plastic fireman figure, you pay based on what you roll, and the troupe orders pizza for the entire audience when they sell out.  It was purely random.  They performed 30 2-minute plays, and the topics ranged from riding the El to eating disorders (which was aptly titled "Barack Obama is Our President, Now Eat a F*$@ing Cupcake").  It was weird and strange and funny at the same time, and I loved feeling "out of my element".  Had the show not ended so late, the perfect end to the evening would have been a trip to the Green Mill.

On another note, who else hates the Super Bowl?  B-O-R-I-N-G.
