* If any of you are running the Chicago Marathon and are interested in running for a charity, both Prentice Women's Hospital and the Susan G. Komen "Marathon for the Cure" organizations are looking for YOU! In addition to helping a great cause, there are some fantastic perks, like free training programs, running gear, and more! Please help spread the word!
* I am guest posting over at "little girl in the big world" today - come check out my take on creative weddings I've attended - and send her some love. She just got married!!!
So. Speaking of running:
As many of you know, I was approached by ZOOMA to serve as a race ambassador for the Great Lakes race series in Lake Geneva this fall. I've never been in this position, so I wasn't quite sure what to expect when I attended the official kick-off event at Fleet Feet here in Chicago.
ZOOMA set up an incredible evening, complete with yoga (sponsored by CorePower), massages and manicures. Additionally, I was able to meet the other race ambassadors (I'm sure they think I'm super awkward...) and pick up some sweet swag from our sponsors - thank you, Muscle Milk! From a running skirt to shirts to a supply of Muscle Milk, we are lucky ladies!

Some of the swag. It's good to work with ZOOMA!

Yoga!

Amy and I, with our "ZOOMA Blue" manicures!

The Ambassadors! Please go check out their blogs:
(From L to R: Kim of "ilaxSTUDIO", Maggie of "Mag Mile Runner", Amy of "Second City Randomness", ME, Bobbi of "Zero to 26.2", Marcia of "Marcia's Healthy Slice", Laima of "Women's Endurance Gear"
(Not pictured: Kimberly of "Outside My Head", Jess of "Run With Jess" and Courtney of "Run Courtney Run")
These ladies, quite simply, are the bomb dot com, and I am so honored to be a part of this group of determined women. Thanks, ZOOMA!
Will you be joining us in Lake Geneva??? You totally should. Don't forget - if you DO register, make sure you use the code "GLAMB7" for a discount!
Finally checking out your new page on a computer so I can see everything! Love the streamlined look!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous! This is an incredibly awesome opportunity, Meghan! I wish that I lived in Chicago so I could have come to an event like this and run the upcoming race :)
