We decided to head to a new restaurant in our neighborhood called "Untitled". The basic premise is that it's a speakeasy with great food, Prohibition-era cocktails, and a hidden entrance. So, we got a little dressed up...

(Dress from Urban Outfitters, circa 2008. I think that's also the last time I wore it!)
...and found ourselves face to face with this...
Yes, ladies and gents. The "cover" for the restaurant was a wig shop! How fun is that?!?!?! Additionally, there was some incredible live music!

(Bright lights, big city, cold girl.)
Have you been on a date night recently? Tell me about it!
P.S. The monthly "Go for the Goal" link-up is TOMORROW! Come share your goals and progress!
A few friends of mine were telling me about that place...said the same about the food but I do hope it's still there next year :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like a cool place! Too bad the service was slow and the food meh. We had friends in from Madison last night and took them to a restaurant and our dishes took forever, came out cold and were so small. And... there was no one there. We won't be going back!
ReplyDeleteBut date night! We never do it "officially." I wish we would.
Cute dress!
Ok now that is really cool. Even if the food was "meh", the idea is awesome. Thumbs up!
ReplyDeleteI've been having Tuesday night date nights as of late. They're fun, but I'm always looking for interesting things (like this) to try other than the standard...
Wow it sounds good, too bad the food wasn't totally great. Love your cute dress!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool place- love that there was a secret entrance! Any time I "dress up" I call a date! The last one was on Saturday night, we went on a "double" to celebrate my bf getting a job! Woohoo!
ReplyDeleteFun! We have a speakeasy in SF (but it's just a bar), and the cover is a library. You have to give a password to get in, and the cocktails are also all Prohibition-era. Definitely a fun place to take visitors.
ReplyDeleteI was just saying to Matt that we hadn't been on a date in a while! We've both been sick these past couple weeks, so neither of us have felt like doing much, but I'm looking forward to doing something fun when we're fully healed. :)
Sorry about the slow service and not-so-good food. But it still seems it was a fun date night. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm repeating myself here...but we're twins. LOL I'd totally wear what you wore, too. :)
How fun! LOVE that picture of you! You are too cute, my dear!
ReplyDeleteMy computer is still not letting me comment on your blog so I'm trying from my phone. Hope it works!! *fingers crossed*
yay for date night! i love your dress!
ReplyDeletePretty dress - hope the date night was a blast!
ReplyDeleteIsn’t That Charming.
I love love love date night even if the food turns out to not be so great! I love trying some place new :) Although I've requested for my next date night to be at our favorite Mexican place, I really do like trying new things!
ReplyDelete"Cold girl"!!!! It was 100 degrees in Phoenix today! Gosh I'd love to see Chicago in the fall, sigh.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like an amazing restaurant - the wig shop, get out! Sounds like a blast :) I think impromptu date nights are the best!
Super cute dress. You are so adorable!
ReplyDeleteWHAT a neat restaurant!!! What street is that on? I want to go the next time I'm in town!
ReplyDeleteYou look beautiful- even cold under those big city lights! :)
Whoa! Amazingly jealous of this cool venue. I'm putting that on my list for my eventual Chi trip!
