Top 5 Thursdays - Dream Vacations!

So, this girl needs a flannel shirt and a Starbucks ASAP, because apparently I am living in Seattle, y'all!   It's been nothing but rain.  Cold.  Wind.  Cold rainy wind.  Mother Nature has been doing some serious hatin' on Chicago these days.  It's almost May, and I am still wearing boots, leggings and sweaters! So when the lovely Neely suggested a top 5 list revolving around dream vacations, I jumped at the chance!

My Top 5 Dream Vacations

5.  Napa Valley

I've actually already been here (as part of my whirlwind honeymoon), but I would return in a heartbeat.  From the landscape to the amazing cuisine and of course, the WINE, Napa is the perfect place to indulge and relax at the same time.

4.  New England

I've been to many eastern cities, but I would LOVE to visit places like Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine and check out the beautiful colors in the fall.

3.  Spain

Ever since my Honors Spanish IV class in high school and our in-depth study of Spain, I've always wanted to visit.  I think it would be the perfect combination of history, culture and FOOD.

2. Ireland

Girlfriend needs to get back to her roots and visit the land of her ancestors.  Just look at this scenery!  Need I say more???

Ireland

1.  A Mediterranean Cruise!

This would allow me to visit some of my favorite cities (Florence, Rome and Venice) and explore new places like Greece and Turkey.

I'm so glad (sorry) your weather is like mine at the moment. I was considering gloves today, too. :(

  10. Ooh, you're making me all wanderlust-y! Especially on a day like today in Toronto— rainy and grey and incredibly gusty.

I'd love to visit Napa Valley to explore California wine country too. Greece and the Mediterranean is on my list as well.

Lately I've been dreaming about travelling through Vietnam and Cambodia.

  16. My family actually is/lives in Vermont. It is always pretty there(except a little bit of mud season). The weather in the fall is amazingly beautiful. The spring is usually nice and summer isn't really that bad at all. So much better than here in Memphis!!!

  17. I totally want to go to Barcelona! I never hear any bad thing about it-- Spain, culture, beachy! New England is gorgeous. My hubby is from Massachusetts and we visit often.

  18. This makes me realize how lucky I am to live just 45 mins from Napa. It really is pretty incredible. And I was lucky enough to live in Vermont for a summer back in 2004, which was ALSO beautiful. I've never been to the other places, although Greece/Greek Isles would top my list as well!

  19. We have such similar travel taste! I'd love to go to NE during fall!! In LA we don't get color change - or really differing seasons - and I'd die to experience a real autumn. And of course Ireland for the same reason as you, and the cruise :)

  25. I'm with you on most of these. The lesser known areas of the Mediterranean definitely stand near the top for me. I think at the very top is south and eastern Asia...Nepal, Bhutan, Thailand---drool!
