Typically, my Saturdays begin with a long run, but sadly, with my old lady injury, this day was a bit different. Instead, I started with...

* Some coffee and internet surfing. Notice my little "injury corner", complete with a foam roller, resistance band, and the "stick". Seriously. Are you injured? I can provide you with quality PT!

* Next stop? The laundry room. It's evident that my building needs to call the window washers back. Otherwise, not a bad view:)

* After dropping the laundry off, I took some time to visit Indigo Studio for a double workout - Zumba (HATED IT) and Arms, Abs and ASSets (LOVED IT). I wanted to take a pic of my cute sweaty face, but let's be real. It wasn't that cute.

* The next stop? A trip to Bed, Bath and Beyond for some items, including this owl pillow. I know, I know. So my taste isn't very sophisticated. But I happen to love it!
Did I mention that I KNOCKED OVER a vase while shopping and it shattered everywhere? The lovely people at BBB told me to "forget about it". Sigh. There are good people in this world.

* I also picked up my race packet for a half-marathon I wasn't running. Let's not talk about it. However, I returned home, and what you see above is only a small portion of my wine glass collection. I washed them all by hand in preparation for a mini-cocktail party we were hosting that evening! I also spent some time grading papers and relaxing on the couch with the hubs.

* My outfit of the night - black snakeskin top from Zara, skinny jeans from Old Navy. Thank goodness my leg is fat enough to block our toilet.

* Part of the evening's spread - only the 400 wine bottles are missing. No big deal.
You might be thinking, "Wow. Meghan has a pretty lame life." While that might be true, what I didn't document was the rowdy karaoke evening that ensued. I am pretty sure my friends are deeply grateful.
So yeah. That's my little Saturday. Thanks for joining me.
I have that Camelbak! Love it. and LOVE.YOUR.VIEW!!!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't call it lame at all. I'd call it a good weekend. :)
ReplyDeletehaha this cracked me up. Sorry about your injury! That is no good. I hope you get better VERY soon. I know it must suck to not be able to run. On the positive side - you have a KILLER view, the owl pillow is AMAZING AND you rocked the heck out of that snakeskin top! :)
ReplyDeleteI love this post!! I also love that owl pillow :)
ReplyDeleteI have a similar injury area at our house, we use the stick often!
Oh man, I would have been so embarrassed knocking over that vase, eep.
ReplyDeleteGlad your weekend was good otherwise!
If you wanna see a lame weekend, you should come to my house :)
ReplyDeleteAw, sounds like a great Saturday. And I love your view!
ReplyDeleteYour Saturday looks great! I'm actually going to do that this week with running spots in NYC. My VA Beach vacation got canceled literally 12 hours before departing, so I'm on staycation mode!
ReplyDeleteI think your weekend looks pretty kick ass. And that owl pillow? I NEED it. Making a trip to BBB asap so I can be your copy cat! ;)
ReplyDeleteI like that you documented your weekend in pictures. I SOMETIMES take lots of pictures and sometimes take like none... oops! Happy Monday!
ReplyDeleteAw! Sorry you didn't like Zumba. If it was because you felt like you were a robot/spaz/uncoordinated, I'd suggest giving it a couple more tries. It took me a good 3-4 classes to get into a groove. I think it's after that, that you actually get start to get a decent work out because you can focus on exaggerating certain moves (like arms and core, etc).
ReplyDeleteBut at least you enjoyed your other class!
personally, i love the owl pillow! And, i was once at a store with my boyfriend where he actually broke two pieces of glassware 5 minutes apart. I was so embarrassed, and they were still really nice about it!
ReplyDeleteHope you recover from your injury soon lady! You're the first person I've ever heard of that hates zumba!
ReplyDeleteSucks not being able to run. :( I bet you would love Zumba at my gym. All the guys in my class go, so it makes it so much fun! That way we don't look stupid trying to look like the girls in the infomercial. I can't get into the silly clothes and hats they wear. :)
ReplyDeleteYour owl pillow is so cute! Hope your injury heals quickly so you can get back to your running!
ReplyDeleteyou have a great city view! and i LOVE that owl pillow! it's so cute!
ReplyDeleteOkay, you are on fire in this post. I lol'ed throughout the entire thing!! You're seriously the first person on earth who doesn't love Zumba! The first.
ReplyDeleteAlso, my husband spills/knocks over EVERYTHING. Seriously, when I hear glass shattering somewhere, I always turn my head to see if it's Ryan. In the past 2 months I can think of at least 3 glass objects he's destroyed in public! Not kidding!
ALSO, your leg is FAR FROM FAT.
I keep meaning to do a photo an hour day but I'm pretty sure mine would be really dull.
ReplyDeleteI loooove the owl pillow so much :)
Looks like a wonderful weekend to me!
ReplyDeleteThis was so much fun! I felt like I was spending a Saturday with you! ;) And such a fun Sat - not lame at all! I am SO happy, SO very happy that I am NOT the only one who HATES Zumba!!! :) You are my soulmate!!!! I can't stand Zumba!!! That sentence alone in this post made me so happy ;)
ReplyDelete#1 the owl pillow is too cute!
ReplyDelete#2 I have that same baby blue tile in my bathroom...for now
#3 Any party that involves salsa is hosted by non lame people, IMHO!
That pillow rocks! I am a huge fan of anything with cute owl's on it. You always have such great views from your building!!
