Blog Lovin'.

(Before I begin - Faiza, if you're reading this, PLEASE click off the page if you haven't received your present yet!)

Top o' the morning to you! I hope everyone has a wonderful St. Patrick's Day. I'm not sure if / how you celebrate, but whatever you do, I wish you the best! I, myself, do not celebrate, but I will be wearing green today and looking over my balcony to check this out:

(Photo taken by my sweet hubby.)

This is the Chicago River, which is dyed green each year for St. Patty's Day. And yes, it's really that green! Personally, I think the city of Chicago should open the river up for swimming, but that's just me:)

I also wanted to update you on a few projects I've been working on:

1.) My feet. Well, it's not really a project, but I am super excited about this feature on Nicole's blog. The shoes are from the Bitten line by Sarah Jessica Parker that came out a few years ago. Whatever happened to that line?!?! So, say hello to my feet.

Update: I am pretty sure Nicole is on vacation and there might not be a Feet Love feature this week. But I like this photo and you are just going to have to look at them:)

2.) I can finally blog about this - but I am proud to say that I AM crafty after all! These past few weeks I've been working on a wedding scrapbook for my bestie (the lovely wedding featured below) and I am so proud of how it turned out. Each bridesmaid and parent wrote a letter to the bride and we featured the steps leading to marriage - the engagement, bridal showers and bachelorette parties. I hope it's something she will treasure for many years to come.

(P.S. That's my dustbuster in the background. It's my most prized possession.)

3.) I participated in Megan's stationary swap, and I finally sent out my package to my dear friend, Faiza. FAIZA - if you haven't received it yet, please click off this page immediately!!!!

(Sorry these photos are so dark!)

I can only hope that Faiza loves her items as much as I loved mine. I tried to select very bright colors for her, as she is a very positive and upbeat person. You should also check out her blog when you get a chance! Here's hoping she receives them soon, because I am pretty sure the post office thought I was sending explosives across the border...long story.

4.) You can also check out my latest rant about marriage and children here. It was inspired by the following quote:

"People tell me I should have a baby because I'm 29. I tell them I should really have a dragon."

(Courtesy of one of my favorite blogs of all time, Martinis or Diaper-Genies.)

Once again, thanks to the blogging community for allowing me to participate in such fun activities. My husband thanks you too - he says you keep me entertained so he doesn't have to:) I hope everyone has a wonderful day!!!

  12. OK, first off all, I totally am the yearbook adviser at my high school too! Hysterical that we both are! Don't you just hate it, er, I mean, love it? OK, it's a tough job, as far as I'm concerned! Hardest part about what I do in fact! But we're only 5 days from finishing our last deadline, and I AM SO EXCITED!

Two, I have those same shoes, from Bitten, in green. Word on the street is the line is suspended as the only carrier closed their chain. I loved it, though, so I hope it comes back!

  14. Wow. I'm thoroughly impressed by your scrapbooking skills. I made one for the boy but after a year together, I started slacking and now I'm way too behind. Its time consuming! Anyway, I'm positive your friend will loooove it!
