How was your weekend? Mine was pretty decent. It's been quiet in the Compilation Tape household. The husband is sick, and I just returned from a workshop on Friday evening, so there hasn't been a ton of excitement. I did run a 5K over the weekend, which, despite the ass injury, went really well. However, I don't think I am recovered enough for my half-marathon next weekend, but I am A-OK with it. More on that later!
I thought I'd devote today's post to the My Style Monday feature over at "Running Down a Dream"! Since I still have to do some NYC re-caps (I swear, they are coming!), I thought I'd feature my NYC outfits!
So, here we go! NYC!
I call this one the "I'm hot and sweaty and nasty but excited to be in NYC" outfit.
Top: Target
Jeans: Old Navy
Shoes: Target
Purse: H&M
Scarf: Don't know!
This is my "Our room is super small which makes this picture awkward but I love this dress and OMG we're going to see a show on Broadway" outfit.
Dress: A boutique in PARIS! Seriously. I LOVE telling people I bought this dress in Paris. I have no idea where I was, however!
This is my "One of these things is not like the other" ensemble.

Shoes: Target
We now have the "OMG, we're going to have an amazing dinner at Gramercy Tavern and then go have drinks in Brooklyn with Jeanette but then I ruined everything and got sick" outfit.
Top: Some random boutique here in Chicago. I wore this once in 2008. It also makes me look pregnant, as most of my clothes do. I love to be comfy.
This is the "Here we are in upstate NY at a wedding dress, and my husband clearly outshines me in this photo" outfit. I also call it the "Clearly, I need a new pose" outfit. I blame Tyra for the fact that I always put my hand on my hip.
Dress: H&M. Once again, I totally look pregnant. Seriously. People are starting to tell me to show off my body a little more. I think my need for comfort is making me look like a bag lady.

ReplyDeleteYou look beautiful and happy! One of my chef instructors use to work at Grammercy Tavern with Tom Collichio. She said that if you did something wrong he wouldn't say anything. Just take the food you were working on and throw it away, then walk away. Scary!
