My Love for NYC via Pinterest.

So, today marks the FIRST TIME EVER that I am linking up with Michelle of The Vintage Apple for "Oh, How Pinteresting" Wednesdays!  You see, when Pinterest first arrived, I had NO IDEA how to use it, nor did I have the time.  So I deleted my account.  However, when I saw how many awesome items were online, from prints to recipes to workouts, I knew I had to re-join.

And so, here we are.

It's no secret that I adore anything and everything NYC.  As much as I love my Windy City, I cannot help but feel ALIVE when I visit the Big Apple.  I know some people think it's crazy, but if I had my way, and money were no object, I'd rather live in a tiny Manhattan or Brooklyn apartment than buy a huge house in the suburbs.  I have been, and always will be, a city gal.

(Listen.  I'm not REALLY going to move to NYC.  My life in Chicago is very complete.  But it's fun to dream.  And stalk Craigslist for apartments in NYC.)

So today, I am sharing my love for all things NYC!

I don't know what it is, but I adore different neighborhoods.  Each is so distinct and offers new adventures!  When we last visited NYC, I found myself LOVING the Soho/Tribeca area.

When I return, I WILL recreate this!

I'll take one brownstone, thank you.

A dream of ours has always been to own a loft space.  For a cool $2 million, I am sure we can find one suitable to our tastes in Manhattan:)

Vintage NYC.  Kind of like "Mad Men", eh???

This isn't from Pinterest, butI had to include one of my favorite areas, Central Park.  I went for a run each morning and felt so at ease.  When I visit again, I am super excited to have a new crop of running bloggers to stalk!

Are you like me?  Are you crazy obsessed with another city???

  4. NYC has my heart! When we got married, I moved from there to a spot right outside of the city but make sure I'm there every chance I get. Right now I'm really loving 70's and 80's photo histories of the city - especially places like SoHo before it was a strip mall. :-)

  11. I will also take one of those Brownstones, please! :)

I am relieved to hear that someone else Craigslists apartments in different cities! Haha I look all of the time!!! I am totally with you in preferring a cozy city apartment to a spacious home in the suburbs. Cities make me feel energized and alive, and I love living somewhere where I can walk to the bank, restaurants, shopping, etc.

I'm in love with Chicago and Brussels!

  15. I don't think I'm as obsessed with another city as you are :) . . . but I do miss New Orleans pretty terribly (that's where I went to college). I frequently look for jobs on Craigslist in New Orleans, just hoping that one day the right one will come along and I'll have a reason to move. I really do love San Francisco, though. Not much to complain about (other than the very high cost!).

  16. I have never been to NYC, and until recently I haven't really ever wanted to visit. But, this is changing. I'm starting to see NYC as more than just a huge, overwhelming place! I would love to visit and just walk around all day long! Love all of these pins!!!

  17. Ok, I ADORE this post- I am obsessed with NYC and after I get done in Syracuse in August, I think my next stop is one of the outer boroughs - can't afford Manhattan! I grew up country, so the city life is just exhilarating!

    Happy Wednesday, darlin!!

  21. I have only been to NYC one time and it was in several feet of snow, but I was in love immediately! I can't wait to go back, I don't know that I could ever live there because the lifestyle is so different from where I currently live. But that city is amazing! Because it was snowy when I was there, there was a lot that I didn't get to see so I really want to go in the spring or fall. Although some days I think that if I could move there, I would! That's how much I fell in love with that city!

  25. I have never been to NYC..but hope to go this spring since I am so close. Love the images. I really need to get away, and big city life would be perfect.

    I miss Chicago.

  26. I need to see Central Park like the photo you posted. I saw it at Christmas and it was bare. There was no snow to make it pretty so I wasn't impressed with the park. I need a mulligan on the park.
