* A wonderful husband, who senses how exhausted I am when I return home from work on Friday night, and decides to relieve me of laundry and cupcake-baking duties, makes me hot tea, and sets me up with the DVR.
* Amazing friends and their precious little baby boy. Just give me a baby to hold and I am content for hours...

* The ability to celebrate the holiday season with friends and family at a fantastic soiree, hosted by my brother and his fiancee. And yes, Phil Collins was in abundance!

The hubster and the sweet little sissy.

The brothers, telling stories. See what I was trying to do there, photo-wise? Get all artsy and what not? Ugh - I am pretty sure my brother won't be happy with his mouth wide-open!
* Spotting Santa, leading a pack of subway cars! I couldn't believe it! Our "L" (subway system) was all decked out with Christmas lights and SANTA! Seriously. How does it work???

How was your weekend? Are you feeling particularly grateful for anything these days?
What a fun weekend! I love that you've seen a Santa! I haven't seen any Christmasy things around here yet. I'm so ready!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great weekend! I love that you spotted Santa already!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a perfect weekend! That baby is seriously adorable! I want to kiss those cheeks!
ReplyDeleteHolding babies are the best! I'm glad you had such a great weekend. This should be a short week for you too, right? I had been to Austin before but really only saw the bar scene (which doesnt' really fascinate me at all) and this time I just saw the inside of the hotel. Yeah - I'm that much fun! A lot of people love it though - so maybe if I had had time to leave the hotel I may have enjoyed it myself!
ReplyDeleteI love babies. Luckily my cousin just had one bout 3 weeks ago I get to see again soon!
ReplyDeleteHow adorable is that baby?! And, yes, let's here it for great, mind-reading husbands who sometimes know just what you need without you having to say the words!!
ReplyDeleteOh man I am the same way about babies. happy as a clam! And that one is so new and teeny! Just as I'm typing this comment, I got a text message from my friend Jandro with a picture of his third baby girl who was born at 4:15 pm today . . . I cannot wait to get my hands on her!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great weekend!!!! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy early morning from side of the world. ;) xoxo
Ohhh what a cute baby!
ReplyDeleteI loved HP. cried and cried. I had just re-read the end of the movie in the book and cried over that.
I'm grateful to have people to celebrate Turkey day with!
I'm totally ready for my sister to have a baby just so I can hold it :)
ReplyDeleteI've seen so much christmas stuff going up lately, I love it!
Wasn't HP awesome! I totally cried over Hedwig and Dobby.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun weekend. And what an adorable baby.
ReplyDeleteAwww the baby is ADORABLE! Sounds like a great weekend. And I wish we had Santa in our subways too, haha!
ReplyDeleteI'm not gonna lie to you...Ron Weasley totally won me over in this movie!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful list! It's so good to take the time to reflect and think about what you're thankful for.
ReplyDeleteHappy almost TG :) xoxo
Sounds like a great weekend! I think I am finally getting into the holiday spirit with all of the Christams decorations that have gone up recently :)
ReplyDeleteyou look good with a baby. that is not a "when are you having a baby?" comment. trust me my ovaries are stone cold. i'm just saying!
ReplyDeletehappy thanksgiving!
Right?! You really could hold a baby for eternity and be completely content.
ReplyDeleteLoved the movie!
when am i NOT grateful is a better question. after spending the day with my friend and her non-boyfriend but really he is her boyfriend, i am grateful for the amazing guy i have. once you see what other people have to deal with, it makes you appreciate what you have and that's no lie.
ReplyDeletealso saw harry potter. LOVED IT!!!
HP was awesome. I'm so ready for the last film so I can finally see Ron and Hermione HOOK UP!
ReplyDeleteLoving your thankful list! I'm thankful for my napping little dude right now. I feel like I say that a lot. HA! Have a beautiful holiday lady!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a great weekend! Thanks for the comment! Maybe I'll run Chicago next year!
ReplyDeleteGlad you had a wonderful Thanksgiving, your friend's baby is super precious!
ReplyDeleteAw, such a sweet post and your hubby is awesome for giving you a quiet night complete with a DVR full of shows and a hot cup of tea!
ReplyDeleteYour friends baby boy is so precious!
The party you went to sounds like a nice time and I love me some Phil Collins. I try to take artsy pics sometimes and it usually ends up looking ridiculous. I could use some lessons.
Santa on the “L”…very cool!
