Dress Up.

When I got engaged, I knew I would have a blast picking out the dress and the shoes. From day one, I always knew I wanted hot pink shoes underneath whatever dress I chose, and I am happy to say that I have held true to that. When dress shopping, like many brides-to-be, I went into it with a very specific idea in mind, and of course, ended up purchasing a dress that was completely the opposite of what I had originally pictured. And it's true what they say, when you know, "you know". I remember telling the woman who waited on me that the very notion was a crock of you-know-what, and I ended up eating my words as I walked out of the store with my dress. However, no one told me how much fun I would have shopping for what I like to call the "ancillary" dresses - the bridal shower, the bachelorette party and the rehearsal dinner dresses.

For my first bridal shower, I chose this dress from White House/Black Market. The thing I love about this place is that their sizes run big, so chances are, you can buy a dress about two sizes smaller than normal. I don't know about you, but that makes me feel pretty damn fine! I paired it with some fun hot pink shoes, which ended up being the shoes I chose for the wedding itself!

For the bachelorette party, I am most likely wearing this dress from Forever 21, except in the blue color. My maid of honor created the concept of everyone else wearing black and myself wearing color because I refuse to be "identified" as a bachelorette any other way. What a cute and totally not embarassing idea!

For my rehearsal dinner, I chose this dress from Anthropologie. I don't typically wear orange, but I figured with some color on my skin and some navy accessories, it has great potential.

Can you tell I love to shop? Next on the agenda? Honeymoon clothes. Seriously, everyone should get married.

  1. Your cuteness and complete togetherness is getting annoying ;) But seriously, cute dresses.
