The other day, I was talking to a friend, and she asked if I was excited about next weekend.
Next weekend. Hmm. The last day of school? (I'm a teacher) HECK YES! The premiere of "SATC 2"? You bet!
No, she replied. Your 30th birthday.
Gulp. In the tornado of grading, Europe planning, Florida planning, working out, etc - I FORGOT THAT I TURN 30 NEXT FRIDAY!
Now don't get me wrong - I am actually looking forward to this milestone. It will commence a decade of home-ownership, children, traveling and general personal and professional advancement (hopefully). Just like Samantha Jones, I am going to grab 30 by the "cajones" and say, "HELLO WORLD. I'M 30!" (Except she was referring to 40...)
And in traditional birthday form, I leave you today with my birthday wish list - the top 5 things I'd LOVE to receive on my birthday. I don't typically do anything special for my birthday or make a huge deal of it, but something tells me that if there's any year to enjoy the love, it's 30!
5. A Garmin watch. I have one of the older models and it's just too bulky. Lately, I've taken to tracking my time with my iPhone, but it's a total pain.

4. These adorable party dresses from Modcloth. Because every birthday girl needs a big and bold frock to match the celebration. I know my hubby has something up his sleeve, but I don't know what it is just yet:)
3. A lot of cupcakes. Because they make the world go round. Well, at least my world:)

(George is totally my fave!)
2. A trip to Greece. Because this is next on my list after Europe, and hey, a girl can dream!

1. This gorgeous loft. Because while others dream of big backyards where the kids and dogs can frolic, I dream of exposed brick and timber beams.

What's on YOUR wish list???
P.S. Since I will be traveling for several weeks in June, I am looking for some guest bloggers!!! I would be honored if you'd consider submitting a post - it could be a great way to gain some new readership and share your amazing blogs and talents! Please e-mail me if you are interested for more details - perfectcompilationtape@gmail.com
