Hello lovely readers! How was your weekend? I hope everyone had a fabulous two days...I know I did! This weekend brought me many fun, relaxing moments:
* An evening out with old friends, complete with dinner at Midtown Kitchen & Bar and wine at DOC Wine Bar. DOC Wine Bar has an amazing S'More dessert. I highly recommend it!
* A nice long run along the lakefront, even though I ran right into the Air and Water Show craziness.
* An amazing dinner, completely executed by my talented husband: pork, stuffing with apples and walnuts, green beans, and a raspberry-drizzled chocolate cupcake. (And just as a side note, it feels awesome to call Mikey my husband!)
* Great conversation with friends on our balcony (see photos above). I am usually not one to toot my own horn, but our view is AMAZING - the Chicago Loop to the south and the lakefront to the east. We're becoming increasingly convinced that our balcony has special powers - meaning, stop by and you'll never want to leave. I cannot even begin to tell you how many people have "stopped by", only to stay for four hours!
That about wraps it up. I am looking forward to starting a brand new school year on Tuesday. I hope everyone has an awesome week!
